The Forest Floor
I am drawn to the small worlds created by fallen branches, berries, nuts, leaves, and all the other quiet inhabitants of the landscape. In this series, I focus on the often overlooked details of nature showing the interplay of life and death. Here decay creates new forms, textures, and patterns which are deeply rich and beautiful. In nature’s final stages, there is an intricate balance of color and shape that reflects the constant cycle of growth and decline.
